How to prove your Settled or Pre settled Status

How to prove your Settled or Pre-settled Status

Posted on by

Due to Brexit, all EU citizens will need to prove their right to live in the UK. This is a guide on how to do this if you have Settled or Pre-Settled Status.

The whole process is done online. Look for the official government website. You can find it from the gov.uk website address and it should be one of the first results you find.

Once you are on the site, it is a step-by-step process, so pay attention.

Now you can preview exactly what your employer will be able to see, which is your name, photo and right to work. But in order for them to actually see it, you will need to provide them with a sharing code.

Your employer will be able to use this code along with your date of birth to check your right to work in the UK. You can print this page and send it to them, or you can send them an automated email.
