Due to Brexit, all EU citizens will need to prove their right to live in the UK. This is a guide on how to do this if you have Settled or Pre-Settled Status.
The whole process is done online. Look for the official government website. You can find it from the gov.uk website address and it should be one of the first results you find.
Once you are on the site, it is a step-by-step process, so pay attention.
First, add the details of the ID document you used to apply for settled status.
Find it and enter the serial number.
Then, simply enter your date of birth.
In the next step, you will receive an authentication code using the phone number or the email address you used to apply for settled status. This time, you choose to receive it on your mobile phone.

Your Status
You are now authenticated, but you still have a few more steps to follow. So scroll down to the option prove your status to someone.
Select who you want to show your status to. Let’s say it’s your employer.
Now you can preview exactly what your employer will be able to see, which is your name, photo and right to work. But in order for them to actually see it, you will need to provide them with a sharing code.
Your employer will be able to use this code along with your date of birth to check your right to work in the UK. You can print this page and send it to them, or you can send them an automated email.
Your sharing code is valid for a limited period of time. You will need to repeat the process each time you take a new job or access a new service. But help is available.
