Welcome to the web-guided demonstration for submitting micro-entity accounts online.
Submitting online is the swiftest, simplest, and most secure method to submit your company’s accounts. This online tutorial is strictly for guidance, thus, ensure to use the actual particulars and figures of your company while filing your accounts.

How to file your micro-entity accounts
To commence, you must initially login and verify your credentials to access the service. For demonstration purposes, we are utilising a fake account in this instance. After successful login to the Companies House WebFiling service, this screen will be displayed. You should have your accounts pre-arranged by this point.
Filing Your Accounts
On the company’s profile page, choose ‘file accounts’. The date alongside the button provides information on the filing periods for your accounts.
Moving to the subsequent page, choose the micro-entity account option.
Ensure that your accounts adhere to the specified requirements that are indicated. Your accounts must meet a minimum of two criteria listed. These criteria are subject to change as we upgrade the filing service. After verifying this, select the micro-entity accounts option.
Balance Sheet and Beyond
From here, you will be redirected to the balance sheet section. Use the figures from your pre-arranged accounts. If your company is filing its inaugural accounts, only the current period will be shown. For the purpose of this demo, we are using sample data.
Enter your value into the ‘called up share capital not paid’ field. This value should also be added to the ‘capital and reserves’ field. Empty fields which are irrelevant to your company can be left blank.
Review the statements on your page meticulously, and check the box to confirm your agreement.
You are obliged to sign and date the accounts you file. You can add more details in the ‘Do you want to provide any footnotes to the balance sheet?’ section. Here, you can add notes about off-balance sheet arrangements. Additionally, details about the number of employees you have will be needed.
Final Steps
Upon entering all the necessary information, select ‘Validate and continue’.
Now, carefully review your content and make any necessary adjustments before you file your accounts. If you desire to make amendments, you will have to reconfirm all subsequent information. For review purposes, you can download a draft copy of the unsigned accounts.
Once you’re satisfied with the details, click on ‘Submit your accounts’ and your enterprise’s accounts will be transmitted to Companies House.
A submission confirmation page will then be displayed. Copy and save the submission number as it may be required for future enquiries. You will receive two emails subsequently: the first to acknowledge reception of the accounts and the second to inform you if they have been accepted or rejected.
Upon completion, don’t forget to subscribe to Companies House’s email reminder service. You’ll receive a notification when your confirmation statement and accounts are due. Now, you can safely sign out.
