Are you eligible for the JobKeeper Payment? If you´re a sole trader you´ll be able to claim the payments if you´re an individual running a business your turnover has fallen by 30% or more and you satify the eligibility requirements that you´ll find on the ATO website.
You can enrol through ATO online services using myGov, through the ATO Business Portal using myGovID, or you registered tax or BAS agent can do it for you. As a sole trader, the JobKeeper Payment can be paid directly to you.
After enrolling, you´ll need to provide some business information and claim JobKeeper on a monthly basis.
Sole trade with employee
If you also have eligible employees you can claim the JobKeeper Payment for them too.
Once you´re enrolled, you´ll need to identify your eligible employees and reconfirm their details every month. You must pay each of your eligible employees the correct minimum amount by the required date.
